If you've ever had a conversation with me you know how passionate I am about Camp Simcha. You might not know, however, that I actually started out as a camper at age 11.

After months of intense cancer treatment and surgeries I was invited into the magical world of Camp Simcha. A world where I got to forget about the hospital, and instead experience pure joy and laughter. The friends I made there truly understood what I was going through. For the first time since diagnosis, I felt seen.

We dressed up every day and danced at every meal. The activities, shows and crafts were a blast and I loved every second of it! After 5 spectacular summers as a camper, I knew I had to come back as staff to give other kids those same opportunities I had.

I absolutely loved being a counselor and being able to give back to the camp that gave me so much. After 5 years as staff, I decided to take it one step further.

This has been my 4th summer attending Camp Simcha as a nurse. I had the privilege of caring for seriously and chronically ill children so that they too can get a chance to enjoy a summer camp experience.

This January I will be running to support these kids and give them a summer of a lifetime. But I can't do this without your support. I need your help to raise as much money as possible for these kids.
