This January, 2025, I will be running in Chayeinu’s women’s race to raise money for Chai Lifeline Israel, a wonderful organization dedicated to helping very sick children and their families. After working as an RN this summer at Chai Lifeline’s Camp Simcha, I witnessed firsthand the unimaginable impact this organization has in changing the lives of over 400 children and their families every year. As a nurse, I see how important it is for patients to have support through illness, and I this summer, I was blown away at how Chai Lifeline takes the word “support” to the next level. Parents and children have told me personally how Chai Lifeline has changed their lives forever, returning joy and hope and enabling them to live full and happy lives despite the presence of illness. It is for this reason I have decided to run in Israel and raise money so that Chai Lifeline can continue to put smiles on the faces of sick children.
